eCape Acquires WeddingsonCapeCod.com and affiliate site

South Dennis, MAeCape, Inc., the South Dennis-based website design and marketing company, recently acquired WeddingsonCapeCod.com, founded and formerly operated by Talmage Internet Promotions of Mashpee. Started 10 years ago by Grace Talmage and her son Richard, WeddingsonCapeCod.com is Cape Cod's premier online wedding planning site. Its directory of wedding services contains over 200 wedding service advertisers. Brides can easily find reception sites and over 30 ancillary services provided by Cape Cod wedding professionals. "Weddings are a big business on Cape Cod, estimated to add at least $45 million annually to the Cape economy, " says Grace Talmage. "With this acquisition, I am hoping that eCape will bring even more exposure and growth to Weddingson CapeCod.com and its affiliate site GayWeddingsonCapeCod.com." eCape, Inc., founded in 1996, operates CapeCodTravel.com and CapeCodToday.com. "Expanding into the wedding market is a natural outgrowth of CapeCodTravel.com's dominant position in the online local travel planning market, " says Julie Brooks, president of eCape. " I am looking forward to bringing the advertisers on WeddingsonCapeCod.com even more results through exposure on eCape's two main portal sites, an email marketing program, and other promotional strategies."eCape, Inc., is a jointly held company with Best Read Guide Cape Cod and BRG Distribution Company.

eCape launches Cape Cod Art Association website

eCape, Inc. recently launched the new website for the Cape Cod Art Association in West Barnstable. Hired after a competitive bidding process, eCape's mission was threefold: to give the website a completely new and updated design, to make it an eCape Self-Service content management site which is able to be updated easily by staff members, and to build a secure registration form which allows site users to register and pay for classes and workshops online. eCape custom-scripted the registration form, which can also be updated by CCAA staff. After the launch, the site had the predicted effect of reducing incoming phone calls and time spent registering people manually. Roberta Miller, Executive Director of the Association says, "...we love the site and have gotten wonderful feedback about it. [We] thank Nate for all of his invaluable help...he was a pleasure to work with!"

CapeCodToday launches local blogs

CapeCodToday has added Cape Cod blogs to its already extensive local content. If you want interesting and unique points of view on local issues, blogs are where it's at!

What's a blog, you ask? A blog is just a personal journal posted on the Web, or "web log", which is how it got its name. A blog can be about anything from your personal experiences, to news or it can be just your opinion.
